Job Description

Step into a rewarding role as a Paraprofessional supporting students across a dynamic school district near Hockessin, DE. This contract opportunity offers full-time, onsite positions with schedules following a traditional school weekMonday through Friday, totaling 35 hours weekly with a 30-minute unpaid lunch each day. Openings may arise across various school sites, providing a chance to make a meaningful impact in different educational settings.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Active Delaware Paraeducator Permit required (pending permits are not accepted; if pending, provide a DEEDS portal screenshot). High school diploma or equivalent, with additional educational experience preferred. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and students.
Clearances required:
child protective registry check, TB test (unless the role is virtual), fingerprinting (candidate responsible for $85 fingerprint fee). Completion of the districts contractor packet and approval process prior to start date.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct instructional and behavioral support to students, under the direction of certified school staff. Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and classroom management strategies. Help foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment. Support students personal, social, and academic development in a range of classroom settings. Communicate regularly with educators and support personnel regarding student progress and needs.
