Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting middle school students in a dynamic educational environment near Milford, DE. This full-time contract opportunity is available immediately and will continue through the end of the school year, focusing on providing high-level behavioral and academic support to students with significant needs in a middle school setting. Your ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt to varying situations will be highly valued as you work collaboratively with educators and specialists to foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment. You will play an integral role in helping students develop essential skills and achieve their personal and academic goals.
Desired Qualifications:
Current registration with DEEDS (Delaware Educator Data System) is required Experience working as a paraprofessional, behavior specialist, or in a related support role, particularly with students requiring heightened behavioral and emotional assistance Genuine comfort and capability in working with students identified as "high needs" Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork with teachers and support staff Ability to implement behavior intervention strategies and individualized support plans
Key Responsibilities:
