Spring River School is seeking caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support students in Kindergarten through 8th Grade within our Waldorf-inspired outdoor homeschool enrichment programs. Teaching Assistants work alongside experienced Class Teachers to create engaging, nurturing learning environments where children thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. Positions are available at a variety of grade levels, and candidates may be matched with classrooms based on experience, interests, and school needs. About Spring River School Spring River School is Florida's first Waldorf-inspired all-outdoor homeschool enrichment program. Our students learn in parks, forests, beaches, and natural outdoor classrooms where imagination, movement, creativity, and meaningful relationships are at the heart of education. Position Details Monday-Thursday, 8:30 AM-3:15 PM Part-Time Hourly Position $18.50-$20.00 per hour, based on experience 15% Tuition Remission for enrolled children Paid pre-service training before the school year Paid monthly staff meetings and professional development opportunities Outdoor classroom locations in Atlantic Beach, Florida What You'll Do Support daily classroom activities and routines Assist with lessons, artistic activities, games, nature studies, gardening, and outdoor learning experiences Supervise and engage students throughout the school day Help create a safe, respectful, and joyful learning environment Assist with classroom setup, organization, and cleanup Support students individually and in small groups Participate in school festivals, field trips, and community events Serve as a positive role model for children Qualifications Required Love of children and passion for education Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and families Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions High School Diploma or equivalent At least one year of experience working with children in education, childcare, camps, recreation programs, homeschooling, or related settings Preferred Experience with Waldorf, nature-based, outdoor, or experiential education CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Experience supporting children in outdoor learning environments The Ideal Candidate You are: Warm, patient, and dependable Energetic and comfortable outdoors Flexible and able to adapt to changing situations A collaborative team player Committed to helping children grow with confidence, kindness, and curiosity Why Join Spring River?
