STARTING SALARY
Based on classification and pay plan for Classified employees: Grade 18 $16.68 p/h (HS Diploma and ParaPro min score 457 or 60 hrscollege credit in core curriculum) Grade 19 $17.06 p/h (AA / AS or higher)SCOPE:
To assist certified personnel in achieving instructional goals through participation in curricular activities and supervision of students.QUALIFICATIONS PARAPROFESSIONAL I
(GRADE 18):EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 60 semester hours from an accredited educational institution with at least 30 semester hours in general education core curriculum and/or child development and education or successful completion of the ParaPro test with a score of 457 or higher. Experience working with children with disabilities. Satisfactory completion of Verbal De-Escalation required within 90 days of appointment and maintained annually. Separate Class Placement and 1:1 positions- Satisfactory completion of CPI training required within 90 days of appointment and maintained annually.
PARAPROFESSIONAL II
(GRADE 19):EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED:
Associates degree or higher from an accredited educational institution required. Experience working with children with disabilities. Satisfactory completion of Verbal De-Escalation required within 90 days of appointment and maintained annually. Separate Class Placement and 1:1 positions- Satisfactory completion of CPI training required within 90 days of appointment and maintained annually.
