Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant educational team as an Assistant Teacher/Floater, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a nurturing and dynamic learning environment for young children. In this role, you will support classroom activities, assist lead teachers, and ensure that every child receives personalized attention to foster their growth and development. Duties Support lead teachers in implementing engaging curriculum activities aligned with early childhood education standards. Assist with classroom management to maintain a safe, organized, and positive learning environment. Provide one-on-one or small group support to children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism. Help prepare classroom materials, proofread educational resources, and set up learning stations to enhance student engagement. Foster effective communication with children, parents, and team members to promote a collaborative atmosphere. Mentor and encourage children through age-appropriate activities that develop literacy, math skills, social-emotional growth, and behavior management techniques. Adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs while supporting classroom routines and behavior expectations. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in early childhood education settings or classrooms is preferred. Knowledge of special education strategies, behavior management, and Montessori or other child-centered teaching methods is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Familiarity with classroom management techniques and working with students with disabilities or autism. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patience and professionalism. Experience in tutoring, mentoring, or providing childcare is highly valued. Certification or coursework in childhood development, literacy education, or math instruction is advantageous but not required.
