This role involves assisting teachers in creating a nurturing learning environment, working closely with young children to promote their development, and ensuring safe transportation for students during afterschool hours. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a positive educational experience while maintaining safety and professionalism in all duties. Responsibilities Assist teachers with daily childcare activities, supporting early childhood education and childhood development initiatives. Engage with students to promote learning, social skills, and emotional well-being through interactive activities and supervision. Collaborate with teaching staff to implement educational plans and classroom routines effectively. Provide safe transportation for students as an afterschool van driver, ensuring timely pickup and drop-off according to schedules. Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the school van, conducting regular inspections and adhering to safety protocols. Ensure the safety of children during transportation, following all traffic laws and school policies. Support the overall organization of classroom activities and assist with basic administrative tasks as needed. Requirements Prior experience working with children in early childhood settings is preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record suitable for operating a school van or bus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and students. Patience, reliability, and a genuine interest in child development and education. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively while maintaining a safe environment for children. Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or needs within the school setting. Pay:
$18.00 - $19.00 per hour
