- $35,000 a year 1 hour ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Childcare Math Organizational skills Teaching Divinity Full Job Description Light Christian Academy is looking to hire an experienced paraprofessional for the 26/27 school year.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist lead teacher in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities
- Provide support and supervision to children in the classroom
- Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies
- Help create a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the classroom
- Assist with daily routines, including mealtime, naptime, and toileting
- Support children's social-emotional development through positive interactions and guidance
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare or preschool setting
- Knowledge of childhood development and early childhood education principles
- Familiarity with toddler care and age-appropriate activities
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and engage children in learning experiences
- Basic math skills for assisting with educational activities
- Experience in curriculum development or implementing established curriculum
