The ideal candidates will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to nurturing and educating young children. As a Child Care Teacher and Assistant, you will create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment that fosters the development of children in your care. You will implement educational activities that promote literacy, physical education, and behavioral management while ensuring the well-being of each child. This is a part-time position, Monday-Friday, in our Pre-K 2 classroom. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards. Educate children in various subjects including literacy, physical education, and social skills. Utilize Montessori methods and other teaching strategies to enhance learning experiences. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment. Provide individualized support to children based on their unique needs and learning styles. Conduct assessments and standardized testing as needed to track student progress. Foster strong relationships with children, parents, and staff to promote a collaborative community. Maintain a clean, organized classroom that is conducive to learning. Experience Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is required. Familiarity with tutoring techniques and literacy education is preferred. Experience working with preschool-aged children is highly desirable. Knowledge of behavior management strategies is beneficial. A background in teaching physical education or related fields is an asset.
