Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated VPK (Voluntary Prekindergarten) Assistant to join our early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will support classroom teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young learners. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster a love of learning while ensuring each child's developmental needs are met. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children's early educational experiences and to grow your skills in preschool teaching and classroom management. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers with implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional development activities Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for children Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, curiosity, and social skills Help with classroom routines such as snack time, bathroom breaks, and transitions between activities Collaborate with teachers to monitor individual student progress and adapt support strategies accordingly Support behavioral management strategies to foster positive behavior and conflict resolution among students Maintain open communication with teachers, parents, and staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience Requirements Prior experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting is highly preferred Knowledge of early childhood development principles and curriculum development techniques Experience with classroom management assistance and behavior management strategies Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and students Familiarity with special education practices, including working with children with autism or disabilities is a plus Ability to assist in lesson planning for preschool-aged children across literacy, math, and other foundational subjects Technical proficiency in educational tools or software used for curriculum support is advantageous Demonstrated commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments for all children Previous experience in private school settings or early childhood education programs is desirable Join us as a VPK Assistant and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to nurturing the next generation of learners! Pay:
