Job Description

Preschool Teacher Assistant (Full-Time)

05/27/2026 St. Patrick Catholic Preschool, in Miami Beach, Florida is seeking a full- time Preschool Teacher Assistant for the 2026- 2027 school year. This position follows the school-year calendar. The ideal candidate is nurturing, dependable, and able to collaborate effectively as part of a team to supervise students and facilitate age-appropriate activities. The candidate will perform all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Archdiocese of Miami.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma required. CDA or FCCPC preferred. Completion of DCF Child Care Training requirements. Universal Precautions/Exposure Plan (DCF). Safe Sleep/Shaken Baby Syndrome training. Current CPR certification. Strong classroom management and supervision skills. Ability to create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment. Effective oral and written English communication skills. Strong spelling and grammar skills. Professional demeanor, including adherence to dress code, and strong work ethic. Must be of good moral character and supportive of the mission and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church; prior experience in a Catholic environment preferred. Basic knowledge of the Catholic faith.
