Job Description

Job Purpose:
The Program Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the program. This role involves assisting the program manager and team with various tasks to enhance the delivery of services to clients. The Program Assistant I plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth functioning of the program by handling day-to-day administrative activities, facilitating communication, and supporting the overall mission of the center.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the program manager and team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating appointments. Assist in the preparation and distribution of program materials, reports, and communications. Maintain accurate and organized records of program activities, client interactions, and other relevant data. Serve as a point of contact for program inquiries, providing information and assistance to clients, staff, and external partners. Support the planning and execution of program events, workshops, and training sessions. Assist in the development and implementation of program policies and procedures to ensure compliance with organizational standards. Collaborate with team members to identify and address operational challenges and improve program efficiency. Perform other related duties as assigned to support the program's objectives and enhance service delivery.
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Required Experience:
Minimum of one year of previous employment in an office environment required Demonstrated proficiency in related duties and responsibilities required
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with clients and team members. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with individuals facing mental health challenges.
