Job Description

Teaching Assistant Join a team where your work truly makes a difference. We are looking for enthusiastic, compassionate Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team of educators. In this role, you'll work closely with teachers and specialists to support students' in PREK to 2nd GRade learning, independence, and growth while being part of a collaborative and supportive school community.   • Support the teacher in implementing and delivering curriculum
  • Follow behavior management programs as directed by the teacher and/or BCBA
  • Collect and maintain accurate behavioral data
  • Implement speech and language supports (e.g., picture exchange systems) as directed
  • Follow occupational and physical therapy accommodations
  • Assist with special classroom activities and daily routines
  • Provide toileting, feeding, and self-care assistance as needed
  • Demonstrate flexibility by assisting in other classrooms when needed
  • Complete daily classroom duties and provide general classroom support (including photocopying)
  • Attend required meetings and training sessions
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by teachers or administration What We're Looking For Required
  • Experience working with children PRE-K to 2nd Grade Preferred
  • Experience or knowledge working with children with autism
  • Training or willingness to be trained in Professional Crisis Management (PCM) Knowledge & Skills (Training Provided as Needed)
  • Child development principles
  • OSHA and ADA guidelines
  • IEP documentation and related paperwork
  • Florida Early Intervention programs Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
  • Classroom environment with adequate lighting and ventilation
  • Frequent assistance with toileting and self-care
  • Ability to lift, push, or move up to 50 pounds
