Based on classification and pay plan for Classified employees: Grade 18 $16.68 p/h (HS Diploma and ParaPro min score 457 or 60 hrs college credit in core curriculum) Grade 19 $17.06 p/h (AA / AS or higher) Temporary Paraprofessional position. Ending date to be discussed upon inquiry.

Qualifications/Certifications:
QUALIFICATIONS PARAPROFESSIONAL I
(GRADE 18):
EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 60 semester hours from an accredited educational institution with at least 30 semester hours in general education core curriculum and/or child development and education or successful completion of the ParaPro test with a score of 457 or higher.
  • Experience working with children with disabilities.
  • Satisfactory completion of Verbal De-Escalation required within 90 days of appointment and maintained annually.
  • Separate Class Placement and 1:1 positions - Satisfactory completion of CPI training required within 90 days of appointment and maintained annually.
PARAPROFESSIONAL II
(GRADE 19):
EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED:
  • Associate's degree or higher from an accredited educational institution required.
  • Experience working with children with disabilities.
  • Satisfactory completion of Verbal De-Escalation required within 90 days of appointment and maintained annually.
  • Separate Class Placement and 1:1 positions - Satisfactory completion of CPI training required within 90 days of appointment and maintained annually.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
REQUIRED:
  • Valid State Driver's license.
