  • Part-time Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Children's Ministry Assistant to join our vibrant faith community.
In this role, you will assist the Children's Ministry Director and the Preschool Ministry Director on Sunday mornings at Lakewood Ranch Baptist Church . We prefer that the person who fills this role be a member of Lakewood Ranch Baptist Church. However, this is not a requirement. The candidate who we select must profess to be a Christian and have a life consistent with that profession. Your Christian faith and dedication to this position will help create a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn about faith, develop social skills, and build lasting relationships. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives while working alongside a committed team of church staff and volunteers. Responsibilities Setting up rooms with crafts, snacks and curriculum Filling in for absent teachers Checking families in on the iPad Assisting with clean up and building lock up Assisting in executing weekly children's ministry activities, including lessons, crafts, games, and worship sessions that align with the church's teachings. Support the supervision and safety of children during all ministry events, ensuring a secure environment at all times. Provide mentorship and spiritual guidance to children, fostering their understanding of Christian values through compassionate counseling. Skills Strong communication skills to effectively connect with children, parents, and team members. Experience in working with children in educational or faith-based settings. Knowledge of Christian counseling principles and ability to provide mentorship rooted in faith.
