Job Description

STARTING SALARY
Based on classification and pay plan for Classified employees: Grade 18 $16.68 p/h (HS Diploma and ParaPro min score 457 or 60 hrscollege credit in core curriculum) Grade 19 $17.06 p/h (AA / AS or higher)
SUMMARY/SCOPE/GOAL
To assist certified personnel in achieving instructional goals through active participation in curricular activities and supervision of students.
QUALIFICATIONS PARAPROFESSIONAL I
(GRADE 18):
EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED:
• High School diploma or equivalent required. • Minimum of 60 semester hours from an accredited educational institution with at least 30 semester hours in general education core curriculum and/or child development and education or successful completion of the ParaPro Test with a score of 457 or higher. • Experience working in a classroom setting with children. • Proficiency in the operation of computers, operating systems and office software for word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations.
PREFERRED/DESIRED
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
REQUIRED
• Valid State Driver’s License.
PARAPROFESSIONAL II
(GRADE 19):
EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED:
• Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited educational institution required. • Experience working with children in a classroom setting. • Proficiency in the operation of computers, operating systems and office software for word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations.
