Teacher Assistant - Floater

Teacher Assistant / Classroom Support Aide We are seeking a reliable, caring, and organized Teacher Assistant to support daily classroom operations and help create a safe, positive, and nurturing environment for children. This role is essential in supporting teachers, supervising students, assisting with meals and transitions, and helping maintain smooth day-to-day school activities. Responsibilities Assist teachers with daily classroom activities and student supervision Support children during transitions, including bathroom routines, meals, playground time, and movement between classrooms Serve meals and snacks while following school nutrition and food safety guidelines Help manage and maintain the school nutrition program and meal documentation as required Provide classroom coverage and supervision when teachers are absent or on break Relieve teachers as needed to support classroom operations throughout the day Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment Build positive relationships with children, staff, and families Follow all school policies, safety procedures, and licensing requirements Fast learner and have the capacity to multitask Qualifications Experience working with children in a school, daycare, or early childhood setting preferred Patient, dependable, and able to work well with a team Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Ability to supervise children while maintaining a positive and nurturing atmosphere CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) High school diploma or equivalent required Schedule & Work Environment Full-time / Part-time available School-day schedule Vacation Overtime pay Active role requiring standing, walking, lifting, and assisting children throughout the day Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is flexible, attentive, and passionate about supporting children's growth and well-being.
