Lower School Teacher Aide - Kindergarten Windermere Preparatory School is Central Florida's premier, private, college preparatory school for Pre-K3 through 12th grade. The Windermere Preparatory School faculty, staff and administration are a team of dedicated, passionate professionals who enjoy working with children of all ages. The classroom aide will assist in coordinating activities. The aide will ensure student safety and well-being while on campus. 3+ years of childcare experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Exercise good classroom management with the use of fair and consistent standards and appropriate sanctions that are clearly articulated to the students. Exercise proactive class management within an atmosphere of respect and community following the Responsive Classroom approach. Encourage students to ask questions and to express their feelings. Provide opportunities for student expression using spoken, written, and electronic forms of communication Use learning resources and technology to enhance lessons where appropriate Assist in creating a stimulating and challenging learning environment Develop student cooperation and tolerance through group work Assist in creating an environment that fosters a global mindset Assist in creating an atmosphere of mutual respect Assist students in taking responsibility for their own actions Follow academic and school protocols Attend meetings as required Experience in the private school sector is preferred but not required
