Job Description The Teacher's Assistant partners with & supports the lead teacher and children to make a significant difference in the classroom. The assistant works with the lead teacher to meet the cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of the children in their care. The assistant provides supplemental instruction to children who have learning differences, need more challenges, are not meeting milestones, or need extra time and help to learn concepts and complete skills and work. Job Requirements 1. High school diploma; prefer a CDA• 2. Minimum of 3 year's experience teaching children 3. Must have NO criminal convictions for child related offenses, including neglect or abuse - must receive a Comprehensive Satisfactory background check from Bright from the Start.
