The ideal candidate has strong clinical experience, enjoys teaching and mentoring others, and is passionate about preparing students for entry-level careers in healthcare. The instructor will be responsible for delivering course content, demonstrating clinical skills, supervising student practice, evaluating competencies, maintaining instructional records, and helping students develop professional workplace skills. Key Responsibilities Deliver classroom and hands-on instruction according to the approved curriculum and lesson plans Demonstrate and supervise clinical medical assisting skills Teach topics such as infection control, vital signs, patient preparation, medical terminology, basic anatomy and physiology, clinical procedures, documentation, and professional communication Provide hands-on skills demonstrations and student competency checkoffs Maintain attendance, grades, skills checklists, and other required student records Prepare students for clinical externship experiences Provide remediation and additional skills practice when needed Maintain a safe, professional, and organized classroom/laboratory environment Encourage professionalism, punctuality, communication skills, and job readiness Follow NextStep Medical Academy policies and applicable institutional requirements Qualifications Current or previous professional experience in medical assisting, nursing, or a closely related clinical healthcare field Medical Assistant certification/credential preferred LPN or RN applicants with relevant clinical experience are encouraged to apply Minimum of two years of relevant healthcare experience preferred Prior teaching, training, precepting, or mentoring experience preferred Current CPR/BLS certification preferred Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Comfortable demonstrating clinical procedures and supervising hands-on student practice Must be dependable and able to maintain accurate student documentation Schedule Monday through Thursday 9:30am-3:00pm To Apply Please submit your resume and a brief description of your clinical and teaching/training experience.
