In this vital role, you will support classroom teachers by assisting with lesson implementation, managing classroom activities, and fostering a positive learning environment. Your energy and compassion will help nurture children's development across various age groups, including preschool and early childhood settings. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to early childhood education and special education programs, working closely with children to promote their academic and social growth. Responsibilities Assist teachers in preparing and organizing instructional materials aligned with curriculum goals. Support lesson planning and delivery for diverse learners, including those with autism or disabilities. Engage children in literacy education, math activities, and other subject areas to promote foundational skills. Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment. Provide individualized attention to students requiring additional support, fostering their social and emotional development. Supervise children during classroom activities, recess, lunch, and other transitions to ensure safety and engagement. Collaborate with teachers on curriculum development tailored to early childhood education standards and Montessori or preschool methodologies. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of special education techniques, behavior management strategies, and classroom management best practices are preferable. Familiarity with literacy education, math instruction, and curriculum development for early learners. Experience working with individuals with autism or disabilities is a strong plus. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and students. Demonstrated understanding of childhood development principles and age-appropriate activities. Ability to foster Apostolic faith formation in young children is a must. Ability to work well in a team environment while maintaining flexibility and patience in a fast-paced setting.
