Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting students' success in an elementary school setting near Dalton, GA. As a paraprofessional, you will engage directly with students, helping create a positive, inclusive, and effective learning environment. This full-time contract assignment begins August 4th, 2026, and runs through May 26th, 2027, with a 37.5-hour work week. Bring your enthusiasm for guiding learners and collaborate closely with teachers and staff in a team-oriented atmosphere. Ideal for passionate educators who want to make a meaningful difference every day.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) Paraprofessional Certification required by assignment start date Candidates without certification may apply but must obtain GaPSC Paraprofessional Certification before beginning Previous paraprofessional experience strongly preferred and prioritized Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills Positive, patient, and flexible attitude
Responsibilities:
Provide direct support to students individually or in small groups under the guidance of classroom teachers Assist with instructional activities, classroom organization, and behavioral support Contribute to tracking student progress and helping implement educational plans Foster a nurturing and supportive environment that encourages participation and learning Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and students to ensure a collaborative atmosphere
