Toddler Assistant Teacher (2 Year Old) Discovery Point #3 Duluth - 1.0 Duluth, GA Job Details Full-time $15 - $17 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Childcare Teaching Certification Early childhood education Classroom Teaching Teaching Full Job Description Overview We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Assistant Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and a desire to support their growth, development, and learning in a nurturing classroom environment. As an Assistant Toddler Teacher, you will work alongside the Lead Teacher to provide a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment where children can explore, build relationships, and develop important social, emotional, and developmental skills. Duties Assist the Lead Teacher with implementing age-appropriate activities and lesson plans that support toddler development. Help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment. Support children with daily routines including meals, diapering, toileting, nap time, and transitions. Encourage positive social interactions, independence, and emotional development. Engage children in activities that promote language, cognitive, physical, and creative growth. Communicate effectively and professionally with children, families, and team members. Assist with observing and documenting children's developmental progress. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment. Follow all health, safety, and childcare licensing guidelines. Work collaboratively with classroom staff to provide high-quality care and learning experiences. Requirements Previous experience working with toddlers or young children preferred. Knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate teaching practices. CDA (Child Development Associate) or TCC (Technical Certificate of Credit) preferred but not required. Must be willing to obtain a CDA or TCC credential. Ability to work as part of a team and follow classroom routines and expectations. Strong communication skills and a positive, caring attitude. Ability to provide a patient, supportive, and nurturing environment for children. CPR and First Aid certification preferred but not required (training may be provided).
