In this role, you will support lead teachers in implementing engaging educational activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of children, and fostering a positive classroom atmosphere. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, nap times, and transitions to ensure safety at all times. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management strategies. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards. Communicate effectively with parents about their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns. Follow mandated reporting laws and procedures to report any signs of abuse or neglect. Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized care as needed. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is preferred. Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices. Certification in first aid, CPR, and pediatric first aid is highly desirable; willingness to obtain if not already certified. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education settings is a plus. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to supervise children effectively. Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration. Ability to follow safety protocols, including mandated reporting laws and health guidelines.
