Key Qualifications:
Experience working as a paraprofessional or in a similar support role within educational settings Demonstrated ability to build rapport with elementary-aged children, especially students requiring one-on-one assistance Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, specialists, and families Flexibility and patience to adapt to the evolving needs of the student and classroom High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary coursework in education or related field is a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct one-on-one support to a third-grade student, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom experience Implement teacher-directed instructional and behavioral strategies to help the student achieve academic and social goals Assist with classroom routines, adapting assignments as needed to meet the student's unique learning needs Monitor progress, encourage participation, and help support the student's independence and self-esteem Communicate regularly with the classroom teacher and other support staff regarding student progress and concerns This contract position offers a meaningful way to contribute to a child's learning journey while gaining valuable classroom experience.
