Location Statesboro Campus - Statesboro, GA Department Information Vice President for Student Affairs Job Summary The Temporary employee will support the Vice President for Student Affairs as a Student Affairs Program Assistant on the Statesboro Campus. Temporary employees are employed according to departmental need and the length of time will vary by workload and may not exceed 1300 hours worked in a 12-consecutive month period. Responsibilities Provides exposure to Student Affairs Functional Areas Participates in rotations or projects across multiple Student Affairs units to gain firsthand experience Attends key events, meetings, or initiatives led by these units to understand how each contributes to student development, retention, and success Skill Assessment and Professional Development Collaborate with assigned mentor(s) to develop an individualized Future Skill Development Plan, setting clear goals for personal, academic, and professional advancement Researches graduate programs aligned with career goals, identifying key admission requirements and deadlines Meets with graduate school admissions staff to learn about program requirements, application timelines, and selection processes Completes a structured assessment of current academic and professional skills Meets with assigned Mentor to review assessment results, academic achievements, and personal interests Shift Specifics 40 hours per week Flexible with schedule of availability Shifts available Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM Required Qualifications Educational Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Proposed Salary $8.00 per hour This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis. ABILITIES
Consistently exhibit engaging customer service Ability to support various constituencies served by the University Proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
