Bondurant-Farrar Community School District | www.bfschools.org An interim Library Paraeducator at Anderson Elementary (serving grades 2-4) is needed for the remainder 2026-27 School Year. Consideration will be given for the 2027-28 school year based on district needs with the addition of Harvest Crossing Elementary. Support library/media center operations by assisting students and staff, maintaining an organized learning environment, and supporting instructional and literacy-related activities.Reports to:

Paraeducator Qualifications:
Required High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred Experience working with children/adolescents. Experience in a library or educational support setting. Effective communication and organizational skills. Valid Iowa Paraeducator Certificate.Performance Responsibilities:
Assist the Teacher Librarian with daily library operations. Teach lessons created by the Teacher Librarian or other staff as needed. Support and supervise students during library classes, checkout, and independent work time. Shelve, organize, and inventory books and instructional materials. Assist students with locating materials and using library resources. Help maintain a safe, orderly, and welcoming library environment. Maintain confidentiality at all times. Perform other duties as assigned.Term of Employment:
This is a regular time, 10-month position. The employee is scheduled to work a minimum of thirty (30) hours per week during the school year. Employment is subject to the provisions of Board policy, state and federal law, and the terms outlined in the Paraeducator Department Booklet of the Employee Handbook.Physical Requirements:
The employee is regularly required to perform paraeducator tasks that involve standing and walking for extended periods; frequent reaching, bending, and stooping; lifting and carrying books and materials; and fine motor skills for shelving, material handling, and computer-based tasks. Pre-employment job-specific testing is required to ensure capability.Job-Specific Physical Tasks:
