The Teacher's Aide will assist teachers and other educational staff in delivering high-quality educational services to students. This role involves working directly with students, supporting their individual needs, and helping to create an inclusive and effective learning environment.Location:
St. Paul the Apostle Catholic SchoolKey Responsibilities:
Assist classroom teachers in the implementation of lesson plans and activities. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance. Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning atmosphere. Support students with special needs, including those with physical, emotional, or learning disabilities. Prepare instructional materials and resources as directed by the teacher. Monitor and document student progress and provide feedback to teachers. Assist with the supervision of students during recess, lunch, and other school activities. Perform administrative tasks such as grading, attendance, and record-keeping. Participate in professional development and training sessions as required. Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students.Qualifications:
Associate's degree or higher required; or High School Education or equivalent with a CDA certification or actively working towards a CDA Certification required Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with students. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents. Basic computer skills and proficiency in educational software. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. Ability to engage in physical activities with students as needed.Position Type:
