In this rewarding role, you will support classroom activities, foster a nurturing environment, and collaborate with experienced educators to promote positive developmental experiences for children. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing engaging lesson plans focused on early childhood development and learning through play. Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and well-being. Support children's social-emotional growth by encouraging positive behavior management and conflict resolution. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that promotes safety, comfort, and learning. Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities, developmental progress, and any concerns. Follow all health and safety protocols including first aid procedures, pediatric first aid, and mandated reporting laws. Support classroom management strategies that foster a respectful and inclusive atmosphere for children of diverse backgrounds. Requirements Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development instruction and early childhood education principles. Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire), including pediatric first aid training. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus. Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration. Ability to supervise children effectively while maintaining patience and professionalism. Classroom experience in daycare or early childhood education environments is highly desirable. Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies.
