Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-12:00 PM (additional hours may be available) We are seeking a passionate and energetic PreK Paraeducator to join our vibrant team! In this vital role, you will support classroom teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for preschool children. Your enthusiasm will help foster early childhood development while ensuring compliance with educational standards and regulations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on young learners' lives every day. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum aligned with early childhood education standards Support classroom management and behavior guidance strategies to promote positive behavior among children Supervise children during activities, transitions, outdoor play, and meals to ensure safety and engagement Help facilitate literacy, math, and other foundational skills through interactive activities and tutoring Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, needs, and achievements Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to educational compliance and safety regulations Use educational technologies and computers to enhance learning experiences Skills Experience working with children in classroom settings or childcare environments Strong understanding of childhood development theories and practices Knowledge of special education needs Classroom management skills including behavior management techniques and child supervision Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teachers, parents, and team members Ability to follow educational regulations First aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire Proficiency with computers and educational technologies for teaching support Proven ability to mentor, tutor, proofread educational materials, and support diverse learners Qualifications- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must not have a conviction for any offenses as stated in regulations as required by law
- Must pass background check and health screening
- Demonstrate a patient and loving attitude toward young children
- Be reliable and conscientious in carrying out assigned duties
- Be flexible in working with different age groups/abilities
- Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to move freely throughout the day including bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and sitting on the floor.
