Position Summary:
The School Associate plays a vital role in supporting students and staff by assisting with daily classroom activities, supervising students, and helping create a positive, safe, and productive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support teachers with classroom tasks, materials, and activities. Supervise students in various settings, including classrooms, lunchrooms, playgrounds, and hallways. Provide assistance to individual students or small groups to reinforce learning and encourage engagement. Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom and school environment. Foster positive relationships with students and promote respectful behavior and cooperation. Assist with basic clerical tasks such as preparing materials, organizing supplies, and recordkeeping as needed. Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents as appropriate. Follow school policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or experience working with children is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, flexibility, and a genuine care for children and their well-being. Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from supervising staff.
