Job Description

Embark on a fulfilling contract assignment supporting students as a Behavior Intervention Paraprofessional in a vibrant educational setting near Kuna, Idaho. This engaging, full-time role (four days per week) offers the chance to make a genuine difference alongside passionate educators and specialists within a dynamic, close-knit district serving multiple age groups and diverse student needs.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or Behavior Specialist in an educational environment, particularly with students exhibiting behavioral or special needs, is highly valued Familiarity with implementing individualized behavior intervention strategies Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families Flexibility to work across various classrooms and support students of different developmental stages Required licenses/certifications must be current and valid at start Ability to adapt to a smaller district setting with individualized caseloads
Responsibilities:
Support classroom teachers and specialists with daily instructional and behavioral activities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under guidance from certified staff Use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage social, emotional, and academic growth Assist students one-on-one and in small groups to promote participation and success Maintain accurate, confidential documentation as required by district protocols Communicate regularly with the multidisciplinary team about student progress and strategies Participate in required training and adhere to district onboarding, including fingerprinting prior to start This position provides a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in a supportive school community recognized for its collaborative approach and focus on student wellbeing.
