56 per hour Bickel Elementary School Posted 10/1/2026 Summary Bickel Dual Immersion Magnet Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Title I Paraprofessional. This full-time position is designed for an enthusiastic professional who is committed to supporting students in a diverse learning environment. The Title I Paraprofessional will work closely with teachers to provide instructional support, assist with classroom management, and help foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all students. Responsibilities
  • Assist classroom teachers in delivering instructional materials and lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional academic assistance, ensuring they understand the material and can apply it effectively.
  • Help monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers regarding individual student needs and achievements.
  • Support classroom management by helping to maintain a safe and orderly environment conducive to learning.
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations for students with special needs.
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of classroom materials, resources, and activities.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to student support and educational practices.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff, promoting a collaborative and respectful school community.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher or school administration.
Requirements Bilingual in Spanish/English is required. High school diploma or equivalent. Requires two years of college, an AA degree, or successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment (Praxis Exam). Experience working with children in an educational setting, particularly in a Title I or similar environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families. Knowledge of effective instructional strategies and classroom management techniques. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow directions from teachers and administrators. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed academically and socially. Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational technology. Ability to pass background checks and meet state and federal employment requirements. This is an "at will" position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The employment "at will" policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and approved by the Board of Trustees of District 411. All recommendations for hire are tentative offers.
