Located near Arlington Heights, IL, this position is focused on providing personalized assistance to an elementary-aged student and making a meaningful daily impact. Your compassion, patience, and commitment will ensure the student receives the tailored support they need. The school is seeking a female paraprofessional who is experienced in working with students with disabilities and is comfortable assisting with feeding and toileting needs.
Key Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Prior paraprofessional experience within school settings Background in supporting elementary students with disabilities Comfort with feeding, toileting, and personal care assistance Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with teachers and staff Ability to foster a positive, encouraging environment for learning Reliability and professionalism for a consistent 32.5-hour workweek Female candidates with relevant experience are strongly preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide compassionate, one-on-one support to a student, ensuring safety and engagement throughout the school day Assist with daily living skills, including feeding and toileting, with discretion and sensitivity Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and other educational staff Encourage participation and independence tailored to the student's needs Maintain accurate records of daily activities, progress, and observations Perks of this
