Job Description

Job Summary Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Daycare Teacher Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help nurture young minds and support their developmental journey. In this role, you will work closely with lead teachers to implement engaging activities, manage classroom routines, and foster a safe, inclusive environment for children. Your positive energy and strong communication skills will contribute to creating a joyful learning space that promotes growth, curiosity, and confidence in every child. Duties Assist lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate educational activities focused on literacy, math, and early childhood development. Support classroom management by maintaining a structured environment that encourages positive behavior and social skills. Provide one-on-one mentoring and tutoring to children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism, ensuring they receive personalized attention. Help supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and transitions to promote safety and well-being. Engage children in activities that develop fine motor skills, communication skills, and foundational literacy and numeracy. Collaborate with teachers to monitor progress, document observations, and contribute to individualized learning plans. Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials while adhering to health and safety standards. Skills Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Experience working with children in classroom or childcare settings. Knowledge of special education strategies, behavior management techniques, and working with individuals with disabilities or autism. Excellent communication skills for effectively interacting with children, parents, and team members. Ability to proofread instructional materials and assist in tutoring across subjects such as literacy education and math. Proven classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment. Compassionate mentoring abilities to support children's social-emotional growth. Familiarity with classroom experience tools, curriculum planning, and documentation procedures.
