Associate Lead Teacher Little Learners Academy, LLC - 3.3 Chicago, IL Job Details Full-time $20 - $21 an hour 4 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Behavior management Early childhood education center experience Teamwork Curriculum development Engaging lesson design (student motivation techniques) Daycare Cleaning Classroom experience Classroom management interventions Full Job Description Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Associate Lead Teacher to support the daily operations of a preschool classroom serving young learners. This role is ideal for an educator who is confident in the classroom, able to take initiative, and supports the Lead Teacher in creating a nurturing, structured, and engaging learning environment. The Associate Lead Teacher will help guide classroom routines, support curriculum implementation, and ensure children receive high-quality care and early learning experiences. Candidates with Lead Teacher qualifications are strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood standards Support daily classroom routines including circle time, small group instruction, and hands-on learning activities Promote early literacy, math, and social-emotional development through play-based learning Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment in compliance with licensing standards Support classroom management using positive guidance and redirection strategies Provide direct supervision and care to ensure the safety and well-being of all children Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to create engaging, age-appropriate activities Communicate with families regarding daily activities, routines, and general updates Assist with classroom organization, materials, and overall environment setup Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development Qualifications (Required) Previous experience working in a licensed childcare center or preschool setting Experience working with young children (toddlers and/or preschool-aged preferred) Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) Ability to support classroom management and maintain a structured, positive environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Must meet all state licensing and background check requirements Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 60 college semester credit hours , with at least 6 credit hours in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field (Lead-qualified preferred) Experience assisting with lesson planning and curriculum implementation CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain) Skills & Strengths Strong support in classroom management and daily routines Knowledge of early childhood learning through play, exploration, and structured activities Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff Organized, dependable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented with a willingness to take initiative and support leadership Passion for early childhood education and creating a warm, engaging classroom Why Join Us?
