The position is a full-time opportunity to work with children and an amazing team while receiving great benefits. The Seton Montessori Toddler Community is licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. About Seton Montessori Institute & School Seton Montessori School (SMS) is in Clarendon Hills, Illinois. We offer year-round programming for children from birth through Elementary age. Located on a scenic six-acre campus, nestled amid a residential setting, Seton's facilities offer children the finest in indoor and outdoor environments for learning and growing. Our experienced and dedicated staff helps children develop an awareness of themselves and the world around them. The child works and learns in an atmosphere of balanced independence and structure within a mixed-age group setting. Responsibilities:

Working in the classroom designated by the school Administrator under the direction of the teacher Ensuring the safety and well-being of all the children Interacting positively in a friendly, calm, and nurturing manner with the children and colleagues Encouraging and modeling social behavior and expectations appropriate to the age group Maintaining cleanliness of the classroom environment Assisting the teacher in evaluating each child's progress Attending regular staff meetings Attending two professional development opportunities each year

Minimum Qualifications:

Strong desire to work with children and make a difference Commitment to learning about Montessori philosophy and education Commitment to continued professional development Ability to collaborate with a dynamic teaching team Physical dexterity and ability to lift children up to 40 pounds High School Diploma or high school equivalence certificate Completion and maintenance of DCFS requirements Completion of Seton Montessori Institute paraprofessional course

Preferred Qualifications:

Associates Degree Experience working with young children
