Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Aspire Autism Paraprofessional to join our dynamic team in supporting children with autism spectrum disorders and other neurodevelopmental disabilities. In this role, you will work closely with licensed behavior analysts, educators, and families to implement individualized behavior intervention plans. Your energetic approach and commitment to fostering positive developmental progress will help create a nurturing environment where children can thrive. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children while gaining valuable experience in behavioral health, special education, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Responsibilities Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), including feeding, grooming, and toileting, to promote independence and self-care skills. Collect and record behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Implement ABA therapy protocols under the supervision of licensed behavior analysts, ensuring consistency and fidelity to treatment plans. Support classroom or home-based learning activities by teaching social skills, communication, and functional behaviors aligned with individualized care plans. Manage behavior using evidence-based strategies, promoting positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques. Communicate regularly with clients' families and team members to report progress, challenges, and updates on treatment goals while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain detailed medical documentation, client records, and progress notes in compliance with professional standards and ethical guidelines such as the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts. Qualifications Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders is highly preferred. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management strategies, and implementing ABA therapy protocols. Experience working in educational settings or home-based behavioral programs is a plus. Ability to assist with ADLs and support behavioral health initiatives effectively. Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance requirements. Excellent communication skills for client interaction, team collaboration, and family engagement. Demonstrated patience, compassion, and enthusiasm for helping children achieve their full potential.
