TITLE:
Paraprofessional
QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school diploma or higher 2. Hold a paraprofessional license 3. Self-motivated and adept at problem solving and critical thinking. 4. Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, and interact effectively with all aspects of the school community is required. 5. Ability to solve conflicts, maintain confidentiality and remain open to various ideas and viewpoints. 6. Successfully completes required criminal history check, physical, drug screen and proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status.

JOB GOAL
The goal of the paraprofessional is to assist the assigned teacher(s) in the smooth, prompt and efficient operation of the school classroom.
PERFORMANCE RESPNSIBILITIES
Works under the direct supervision of the teacher(s) to assist individual students with classroom activities as required. Assists the teacher with all aspects of classroom operation. Assists the teacher with record-keeping duties. Assists the teacher in implementing all policies and/or rules governing student life, behavior, and conduct. Establish and maintain appropriate and cooperative working relationships with the classroom teacher, the building administrators, staff members, students, parents, and patrons. Maintain confidentiality of all school-related matters. Perform all other duties as dictated by law and/or assigned by a supervisor/Administrator.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary and work year is to be established by the Board of Education.
EVALUATION
: Performance of this job will be completed by the building principal(s) on an annual basis.
