Job Description

Illinois Valley is looking to hire a Teacher Aide for their Jerseyville Head Start School.

Responsibilities:

Will work in the Head Start classroom with children ages 3-5. Will primarily assist the teacher with classroom learning activities and attend to the children's needs.

Requirements:

Background in Early Childhood Development (18 credit hours). OR Child Development Assistant Certification or willing to complete within 2 years. Must be at least 21 years of age. Maintain a valid Illinois driver's license and sufficient insurance coverage. Clear background check and negative drug screen. Proficient with technology This is a full time position during the normal school year (August to May). Would be eligible for unemployment during the two months off with no disruption in benefits. This position includes excellent benefits and generous vacation, personal and sick time accruals, as well as 12 holidays per year.
