Job Description

  • Overview:
  • We are looking for a caring, compassionate and reliable Teaching Assistant to join our early childhood education team.
This role is perfect for those who have a passion for nurturing young minds and are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our teachers to ensure that our students receive the highest level of care and education. Great working environment with supportive team, bonuses, paid vacations & holidays. Full-time Monday
  • Friday Possible schedules 7:30-4:30, 8-5:00 or 8:30-5:30. Ideal candidate

  • Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers in planning and implementing engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of our preschool students
  • Provide individualized support to students, including those with special needs, to help them achieve their educational goals
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
  • Support students with behavioral challenges and develop strategies to promote positive behavior management
  • Encourage students to develop social skills, independence, and self-confidence
  • Assist with daily activities, such as snack time, circle time, and outdoor play
  • Collaborate with teachers to assess student progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to improve teaching practices and stay current with best practices in early childhood education
  • Qualifications:
  • Experience working with students in a preschool or childcare setting
  • Proven experience in classroom management and behavior management
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development and early childhood education principles
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
  • Experience daycare is preferred
  • Knowledge of educational software and technology is an asset
