Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant educational team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young children during their formative years. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster early childhood development, ensuring each child's social, emotional, and cognitive growth is prioritized. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and developmental milestones. Support children's learning through engaging activities that promote creativity, curiosity, and social interaction. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring safety and positive behavior management at all times. Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence. Support children with personal care routines such as diapering, toileting, and feeding as needed. Observe and document individual children's progress, sharing insights with the teaching team to tailor instruction accordingly. Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure the safety and well-being of all children in accordance with state regulations. Assist in supervising children during play, meals, nap times, and educational activities to ensure safety and engagement. Support classroom management by helping organize materials, set up learning stations, and maintain a clean, organized environment. Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance by following individualized plans and working closely with specialists. Follow all health and safety protocols diligently, including first aid procedures when necessary to ensure a secure environment for all children. Requirements Prior experience working with young children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or similar environments. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Certification in pediatric first aid and basic child CPR is highly preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held. Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus. Strong classroom management skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude.
