QUALIFICATIONS:

At least 19 years of age Bachelor's degree preferred Experience with children who speak different languages Professional Educator License with Stipulations for ELS (PARA) or substitute (SUB) Fluent in English and Polish (speaking, reading, and writing) required Proficient with PCs, tablets, and other mobile electronic devices Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Apps, and cloud-based applications Proficient with web-based search engines and best practices in conducting searches Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed Effective interpersonal skills and written and oral communication skills Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Strong orientation toward providing customer service Strong work ethic Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to work positively and productively with adults and high school-age students

SALARY & BENEFITS

Hourly rate ranges from $21.42 to $22.30 based on experience and education per ESP Salary Schedule Appendix B (Instructional Assistants - Multilingual Learner Paraprofessional) in the District 108 Negotiated Agreement. This is a benefits-eligible position, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF).
