Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Support students in a rewarding educational environment as a 1:1 paraprofessional. Located near Schaumburg, IL, this contract opportunity allows you to make a daily impact in a school setting by providing individualized assistance to students who need it most. You'll work closely with educators and related service providers to ensure that students receive the guidance and support necessary to thrive academically, behaviorally, and socially.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience as a paraprofessional, educational aide, or classroom assistant Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with students Familiarity with implementing individual education plans (IEPs) considered a plus Reliable, punctual, and professional High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or paraprofessional certification preferred
Role Responsibilities:
Provide dedicated 1:1 support to an assigned student throughout the school day Assist with classroom activities, assignments, and behavioral goals Monitor and encourage student participation, engagement, and progress Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school staff to adapt materials or strategies Promote student independence, self-advocacy, and inclusion Record observations and insights, supporting ongoing student evaluation Assist with routine or personal-care tasks as needed
