Job Description
Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher with a college degree in early childhood education or child development to join our Launch Enrichment team. In this dynamic role, you will lead classroom activities, foster a nurturing environment, and support the developmental growth of our youngest learners. This position is also a unique opportunity to be a full time classroom teacher, who will be the person in charge for the last 1-2 hours of each day and if/when the director is out of office. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans with our Frog Street curriculum that promote learning through play and exploration. Support staff, help maintain licensing compliance, and address day-to-day center needs as they are assigned. Manage classroom behavior effectively using appropriate classroom management techniques. Provide individualized support to children with special needs or disabilities, ensuring an inclusive environment for all learners. Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Collaborate with co-teachers and staff to enhance the educational experience for all students. Maintain accurate records of each child's development and milestones. Complete daily closing classroom duties such as: turning all lights off, sanitizing buckets/bottles are emptied, floors are swept, window blinds closed & doors locked. Foster positive relationships with families through daily communication and professionalism. Serve as the teaching assistant director on duty in the director's absence. Job Requirements Minimum of of 2 years experience in an IL DCFS licensed childcare center and a minimum of 1 year experience working with infants and toddlers. Positive attitude, reliability, and a strong commitment to providing exceptional care and education. Must be sub director/director designee qualified per IL DCFS; 63+ college credit hours with 21 credits in ECE or a college diploma with a degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development. Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and make sound decisions independently.
