Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Infant & Toddler Assistant Teacher to join our dedicated team. In this paid position, you will support lead teachers in creating a warm, safe, and engaging classroom environment for infants and toddlers. Your role will involve supervising children, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring each child's developmental needs are met with enthusiasm and care. Responsibilities Assist in supervising and engaging infants and toddlers during play, meals, naps, and learning activities Support classroom management by maintaining a safe and clean environment for young children Help implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social-emotional, and motor skills Communicate effectively with parents about their child's day-to-day experiences and progress Follow health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures Support individualized care plans for children with special needs or developmental delays Maintain accurate documentation of children's activities, behaviors, and milestones Skills Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices First aid certification (including pediatric first aid) and CPR training Ability to manage classroom behavior with patience and positive reinforcement Strong communication skills for parent interactions and team collaboration Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child supervision best practices Classroom management skills to create a nurturing learning environment Compassionate caregiving with a focus on infant and toddler care needs Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting Requirements Must be at least 21 years of age Must have a completed high school diploma or GED Must pass all required background checks Must pass a drug screen Join us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children while building your career in early childhood education! $13.50 - $19.25 per hour
