Preferred:

1-2 years of related experience, or a combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the required knowledge and skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build rapport with students and work cooperatively with staff and families Dependability and flexibility to assist across multiple classroom settings Job Goals Support instructional delivery by assisting individual students and small groups Help manage classroom behavior to maintain a safe and effective learning environment Provide coverage for teachers as needed for meetings, conferences, or emergencies Assist with the preparation and cleanup of classroom materials Monitor students during non-instructional times such as lunch, recess, and transitions Expectations Establish positive, compassionate relationships with students Demonstrate flexibility and a team-oriented approach Monitor student safety and administer basic first aid when needed Support daily classroom operations and learning activities under administrator and teacher direction Perform other duties as assigned by the teacher or principal Physical activities may involve walking or standing for extended periods Additional Information If you would rather apply locally, please email documentation to: Eric Kirkendall ekirkendall@egreene.k12.in.us Eastern Greene High School 11064 St. Rd. 54 Bloomfield, IN 47424
