Kindergarten Instructional Aide Fillmore Elementary School South Putnam Community School Corporation Join Our Team! Fillmore Elementary School is seeking a caring, dependable, and student-centered Kindergarten Instructional Aide to support our youngest learners during the 2026-2027 school year. This position plays an important role in helping students build strong academic, social, and emotional foundations while working alongside an outstanding team of educators. While the primary responsibility of this position is supporting our Kindergarten classrooms, the successful candidate may also provide assistance to students and teachers in other grade levels as needed throughout the school day. Position Responsibilities Support Kindergarten students during whole-group, small-group, and individual instruction. Reinforce teacher-directed academic lessons and learning activities. Assist students with developing foundational literacy, mathematics, and social-emotional skills. Help maintain a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment. Supervise students during classroom transitions, recess, lunch, and other assigned activities. Prepare instructional materials and assist with classroom organization. Collaborate with teachers and school staff to meet the diverse needs of students. Provide additional instructional support in other elementary classrooms when needed. Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience working with young children is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a school team.
