PER DAY DURING SCHOOL YEAR QUALIFICATIONS

COMPLETED

AT LEAST 2 YEARS OF STUDY AT AN INSTITUTION OF HIGHER EDUCATION, OR OBTAINED AN ASSOCIATE'S DEGREE OR HIGHER. PREFERRED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE MET ONE OF THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS

(1) Post High school work in education or a related field; (2) Previous work experience in instructional program documented by letter(s) of reference. (3) Previous experience as a classroom assistant documented by letter(s) of reference and description of responsibilities.

PREFERENCE GIVEN TO LICENSED TEACHERS OR CANDIDATES WITH A COLLEGE DEGREE DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Work under the direct supervision of a classroom teacher with restorative program. Work with students in monitoring their behavior and providing behavior support to students Serve as a check and connect mentor Assist in planning learning experiences for the students. Assist in the production of instructional materials and use of technology. Assist in implementing classroom routines. Assist in instruction-related clerical tasks including scoring of student products, grading, and behavior/academic data collection Work with students on activities, while the teacher works with small groups of students. Assist with monitoring student learning. Tutor students to strengthen skills or concepts under the supervision of the teacher. Confer regularly with the classroom teacher about the programs and achievement of each student. Maintain confidentiality of student information/data. Help with the planning and implementation of after school parent meetings. Successful interview with Building Principal Perform other related duties as directed by teacher and/or principal.
