Role Description This is a part-time, on-site role based in Michigan City, IN. The Education Paraprofessional will support teachers and students by assisting with daily classroom activities, providing one-on-one or small group support, and implementing individualized education plans. They will foster a positive and nurturing learning environment, facilitate social-emotional development, and help students meet their educational goals. Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide support in special education and general education classroom settings
• Offer academic, behavioral, and physical assistance to students as needed
• Aid with mobility support, vocational tasks, and therapy-related exercises
• Support hygiene, personal care needs of students and toileting (as applicable)
• Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information
• Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Monitor student progress and communicate observations to the teacher
• Collaborate as part of the instructional support team
• Attend professional development and in-service trainings as assigned
• Follow directives from teachers and administrators consistently and professionally
• Communicate concerns or needs promptly to appropriate staff
• Arrive on time and maintain consistent attendance Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• 60 college credit hours or passing score on the ParaPro Assessment
• Experience working with children in an educational setting preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to complete CPI training
