Job Description

We are currently looking for a high-energy individual to join our team. As a professional, our Assistant Preschool Teacher will work closely with the Lead Preschool Teacher to maintain a positive and appropriate educational program that meats the social, emotional, and physical needs of the children within their care. Your duties will include, but not limited to:
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum for preschool children. Help children get prepared for Pre-K. (Learning letters, numbers, colors, shapes, etc.)
  • Create engaging lesson plans that promote learning and development in various areas such as literacy, math, science, and social skills
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
  • Plan and organize daily activities, including circle time, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and storytime
  • Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive learning experience for all children
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment. This includes keeping your own desk/personal area clean. (No food or drinks left overnight.) Clean up tables/chairs after meals, sweep/mop kitchen and bathroom weekly, vacuum nightly, etc.
  • Follow all licensing regulations and maintain necessary documentation
Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children in a daycare or classroom setting
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
  • Understanding of child development milestones and the ability to tailor instruction accordingly
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Patience, creativity, and adaptability to meet the needs of individual children
  • Knowledge of literacy education techniques to promote early reading skills
  • Familiarity with childhood development theories and practices You must be able to pass all licensing requirements which does include a drug screen and background check.
You will also have to do all training required. These include CPR, First Aid, Universal Precautions, Child Abuse and Neglect, Safe Sleep, and a few more. This position is full time Monday-Friday Hours can be discussed.
